Described as “Bridesmaids meets The Office” by Taylor Strecker, Forgotten Animals is a workplace comedy about a group of misfit women who come together to help some of the least popular animals on earth. In the full-length pilot, Diane, Karen, Elle, Margo, and Beth throw a luncheon to save 20 homeless raccoons before chaos ensues.

In this indie pilot from Jessie Jolles and Sarah Smallwood Parsons, a group of women in charge of a struggling nonprofit devoted to the wellbeing of unpopular animals take it upon themselves to throw a luncheon for homeless raccoons, with disastrous results. Evoking the colorful tone and joke-a-minute pace of the best of the sitcoms that emerged in the wake of 30 Rock, Jolles, Parsons, and director Alec Cohen lead an impressively deep roster of characters that each get showcase moments. The only reason not to click it is to avoid your inevitable craving for a whole season.

Betches Media presents its first long-form scripted series, Under the Influence. Following the lives, both online and offline, of 7 social media influencers struggling to put their phones down while on the search for something meaningful. Armed with only their tiny blue checkmarks and self-delusion, each influencer becomes the center of their own episode, revealing their backstory and what’s really behind a popular Instagram handle.

A self-proclaimed “victim” and a neurotic therapist get trapped in a room together. If they ever make it out, they’ll both need therapy. In addition to being awarded Best US Narrative at the SF Film Festival 2019, the short has been recognized as Official Selection at the International New York Film Festival and Imagine This Women’s International Film Festival, and Best Acting Duo at the Independent Shorts Awards.
